Where Others Lose Patience – Prayer

Where others extinguish hope, You, God, kindle and sustain it, so that it may continue to glow and shine. We thank You for this.

Where others saw darkness and pure evil in us, You, God, saw even a spark of light, and You nurtured it so that it might blaze forth and grow stronger as soon as we came to You. We thank You for this.

Where others broke our hearts, You, God, always healed them, mended them, and wrapped them in the radiant bandage of Your love.

Where others departed and abandoned us, You, God, always remained, endured, and extended Your hand, offering help.

Where others cut hearts with hatred as though with a sharp sword, You, God, healed those wounds, both physical and spiritual, surrounding them with Your Divine Love.

Where others started wars, You, God, always brought peace and sought to end conflicts.

You are, God, our refuge, the gentleness within events, the caress of the heart and its trembling in the uplift of goodness and love, boundless hope and justice.

Where others abandoned us and passed us by, You, God, always looked upon us with a favorable eye and a compassionate heart.

Where others brought confusion, chaos, and disorder, You, God, gave harmony, balance, and order.

Where we thought there was no hope left for us, through You, God, hope was born anew.

Where others lose patience, You, God, always have it.

We thank You, God, for never ceasing to believe in our awakening, even when we ourselves no longer believed in ourselves or in the positive power of our own creations.
