Changing Our Attitudes and Expectations Toward God

Author: Małgorzata Krata

Becoming enlightened by Divine Light according to the standards of God, the Giver of Life, should always proceed harmoniously together with a transformation of our mentality—a change in our own attitudes, the attitudes of our Soul, and of our entire being.

Many people wonder why Almighty God, although fully able to do so, does not immediately free them from every blockage, every limitation, and all of their Soul’s negative karma, especially when they sincerely desire such freedom. After all, no one wishes to be ill, to suffer, to experience poverty or misfortune. Everyone would like to become happy, joyful, and fulfilled already now—particularly after finding the path to God and placing their hope in Him.

Leaving aside the fact that energetic transformation following the removal of various blockages and limitations is itself a process extended over time, it is understandable that, if God performs this work, it should unfold safely and harmoniously.

Such an energetic transformation is a gradual process that must first take place within the Soul’s energetic structure before it can visibly express itself externally and become manifested in physical reality through the positive effects experienced by the earthly personality.

Sometimes I forget just how complex the energetic structure of human beings and their Souls truly is.

We possess DNA and RNA chains. We have endocrine glands, the digestive system, the skin, acupuncture points, the skeletal system, the circulatory system, the nervous system, and hundreds of other interconnected chemical and energetic processes within our bodies.

Whenever balance within these systems is disturbed, chronic or even life-threatening illness may appear.

An example of such distant relationships is persistent swelling of the upper part of the feet, whose underlying cause may lie in an overactive thyroid gland, which can also influence the nervous system and contribute to emotional agitation.

A transformation of mentality—a change in our attitudes—arises through understanding the consequences of our previous choices and, as a result, through the Soul’s conscious decision that it no longer wishes to experience particular limitations because they have become unnecessary and harmful.

Such a transformation is inseparably connected with acknowledging God’s wisdom, asking God for forgiveness, asking forgiveness of those who have been harmed, forgiving those who caused harm, and offering these specific blockages and limitations back to God.

The transformation of ourselves as earthly avatars, together with the transformation of our Soul and our entire being, is a key element of spiritual development because it also serves as a safeguard that, once limitations have been removed, we will not recreate them or become entangled in similar patterns again.

For what purpose would there be in instantly erasing all the karma associated with, for example, prostitution and the patterns accompanying it, if the Soul itself still does not understand where those limitations originated, what behaviors created them, or no longer remembers how and when they arose?

They may have been formed during intoxication, unconsciousness, hypnosis, or many other circumstances.

Such understanding develops with every intention entrusted to God and with every prayer.

It also becomes a process of learning and preparation through which the Soul becomes ready to receive Divine grace and Divine gifts that will be used only for the highest good.

To put it plainly, Almighty God may not consider it wise to place powerful spiritual gifts into the hands of His beloved child if those gifts could still be used contrary to His Divine Will.

God must surely perceive this transformation within the Soul and within the being itself as a guarantee that Divine gifts and blessings will not later be used for destructive purposes.

Among many people who work spiritually with God, misunderstanding—and sometimes even frustration—may arise from wondering why, despite prayer and sincere requests for help in a particular area, the expected transformation has still not become visible.

In such moments it becomes important not only to ask God what continues to block us, but also to examine honestly our own attitude toward God, our willingness to accept Him, and our openness to His guidance.

It also seems important to ask ourselves whether we have unknowingly adopted an attitude of entitlement—expecting God to fulfill our own will—and ultimately to ask the deeper question:

Whose will is truly meant to be fulfilled—ours, or God’s?
