Hypnosis in the Voice, a Hypnotic Voice
When listening to other people’s statements, we sometimes perceive hypnotic vibrations embedded in their voices. These are laboriously practised mechanisms for manipulating other people.
The structure and mechanisms of a hypnotic voice may vary. For example, within the stream of sounds produced with the whole throat, another small stream of energy appears, visible as a separate channel. There may even be several of them. Their number and the intensity of the hypnotic energies carried within them change according to the needs of the person performing the manipulation. The hypnotic channels or streams in the voice carry an unspoken message that is completely different from the content of the official and openly expressed sentences.
A very distant analogy would be frogs inflating their vocal sacs and croaking as the final result.
In people who hypnotize using their voice alone, these secondary hypnotic channels may carry an artificial sweetness. A feminine hypnotic transmission often appears in a man. This means that energetic hypnotic vibrations emerge from a man’s throat. Whether there is also an erotic undertone in it, I do not know. The men in whom I observed this phenomenon had active erotic lives exclusively with women.
Anyone can hypnotize with their voice, and anyone can be hypnotized. A mother may hypnotize her own child, as may a singer, a teacher or a guru — the leader of any group of people.
Hypnotic channels in the voice are a deception; they carry energies that contradict the spoken words. Their purpose is to persuade the listener to accept ideas other than those officially expressed. A person who uses hypnosis in their voice abuses the listeners’ trust.

at 15:34 (Edit)•The Dangers of Hypnotism According to Rudolf Steiner: Extracted from Various Lectures•“Overcoming a human being through hypnosis is an even more severe form of killing because it destroys the will. The occultist therefore never interferes with human freedom; he only presents facts.”~Foundations of Esotericism, GA 93a, Lecture XIX, Berlin, 17 October 1905“This is also where the danger of hypnosis lies, because the brain then undergoes the same experience as a finger when it goes to sleep. The clairvoyant sees the loosened etheric body hanging like a pair of sacks or bags on both sides of the head. If hypnosis is repeated, the etheric body will have a tendency to free itself, which may be very dangerous. The victims become dreamy, suffer fainting attacks, lose their independence, and so on.”~At the Gates of Spiritual Science, GA 95, 3. The Life of the Soul in Kamaloka, 24 August 1906, Stuttgart“He automatically carries out the commands of your mind with his body. Why does he carry out these commands? Because his soul has been eliminated, because his soul does not intervene between his body and your mind. The moment his soul becomes active again with its desires and its sense of being harmed, when it is capable of feeling pain and perceiving once more, then only the soul decides whether these commands are to be carried out and whether it must accept the other person’s thoughts. If you encounter another person in a normal state, their mind acts upon you. But their mind, their thoughts, act first and foremost upon your soul. They act upon you as desire and injury, and you decide how to respond to the thoughts and acts of will of the other person. If the soul remains silent, if the soul has been eliminated and does not place itself between your body and the other person’s mind, then the body follows the hypnotist’s impressions, the impressions of his mind, without will, just as a mineral obeys physical laws. The elimination of the soul is an essential part of hypnosis.”~Spiritual Instructions for the Soul and Observation of the World, GA 52, X. Theosophical Teachings About the Soul. Part III: Soul and Mind, 30 March 1904, Berlin“Human beings have a natural ability to transform what is merely known into living images. Hypnotism is based on this fact. The hypnotist excludes the astral body and introduces pictorial content directly into the etheric body, but this is an abnormal process.”~Supersensible Knowledge, GA 55, IX. Wisdom and Health, 14 February 1907, Berlin“On the other hand, we must regard the element of will and everything within another person’s subconscious as something with which one must not interfere; it must be recognized as their innermost sanctuary. One need only consider how unpleasant it is for the healthy life of the soul to feel that another person’s will is being coerced. It is unpleasant not only aesthetically but also morally to see someone’s conscious life of the soul eliminated through hypnosis or through any other powerful means, or to see the willpower of one person acting directly upon the will of another.”~From Jesus to Christ, GA 131, Lecture I, 5 October 1911, Karlsruhe“Spiritual science further teaches that these so-called mental and psychological illnesses cannot be treated by methods that use, for example, hypnosis, suggestion and the like, but that mental illness must be approached using ‘physical’ means — by healing the human organs. This is precisely where spiritual knowledge of the whole human being is essential. Spiritual knowledge recognizes that so-called mental illnesses cannot be affected by methods that are ‘spiritual’ or ‘psychological’ in nature because such an illness actually results from the spiritual member of the human being having been pressed outward, as otherwise occurs only during sleep. Consequently, the spiritual member is weak, and in treatment we must work upon the bodily organ so that the soul and Spirit may once again be received in a healthy way.”~Hygiene — a Social Problem, GA 314, 7 April 1920, Dornach“Question: What do you think about American books on hypnosis and magnetism? What is truly important is not contained in these books. In other respects, these matters are often harmful to health and in other ways. From a theosophical point of view, I can only warn most urgently against such things.”~The Origin and Destiny of Humanity, GA 53, XIV. The Future of the Human Being, 30 March 1905, Berlin“The ‘consciousness of the soul free from the body’ described here must not be confused with those intensified psychological states that are not acquired through characteristic exercises but result from states of lowered consciousness, such as vague clairvoyance, hypnosis, and so on. Under such conditions, consciousness free from the body cannot be attained, but only an abnormal connection between body and soul that differs from ordinary life. True spiritual knowledge can be attained only when the soul, through its own disciplined meditative work, finds the transition from ordinary consciousness to a consciousness with which it awakens and becomes directly aware of the spiritual world. This inner work consists in strengthening ordinary consciousness, not in lowering it.”~The Riddles of Philosophy, Part II, GA 18, VIII. A Brief Outline of an Approach to Anthroposophy“What, then, is powerless in the true sense? Consider all the possible conditions of a human being in which consciousness is reduced, as in hypnosis, somnambulism or even dreamlike states; everything through which clear daytime consciousness is weakened, so that the human being is subject to a lower power of the soul than in clear consciousness, belongs to this second path. Here the soul, by surrendering its ordinary, everyday functional power, is led into the true realm of the spirit. The soul itself, however, does not become capable of crossing into the spiritual realm, but remains unconscious and is carried like a shadow into the realm of the spirit.”
