Chiefs and Commanders. A Releasing Prayer.
Open now, O God, my heart.
I appreciate and accept all leaders who move forward not for glory, but for the defense of their people and the good of their nation.
I have forgiven myself for having, many times, educated and trained great conquerors. I have forgiven myself for having, many times, inspired world conquerors and conquerors of people to action.
I have forgiven all tyrants who once served as examples for my life and actions. I have forgiven myself for repeatedly interfering in the battle strategies and battlefields of others, causing confusion both within myself and within others.
Through Your Love, God, make me free from the belief that a good leader, that a good father, is one whom others both love and fear at the same time.
I have forgiven all those who are effective in their actions yet lack morality. I have forgiven all those whose activities have nothing in common with wisdom, humanitarian values, or harmony.
I have forgiven all those who cared for their subordinates as though they were their own children, only so that those same people would one day follow them into death and destruction.
I have forgiven all tyrants and despots who modeled themselves on my actions and repeated my decisions.
I have forgiven all those striving for great deeds who primarily started wars and brought suffering with them.
I have forgiven all conquerors thirsty for fame and for the clash of weapons.
