Constant Arguments at Home – intentions
Authors: Sławomir Majda, Małgorzata Krata. The identical recurring fragment, forming the core of the idea, is as follows:“participating for a long time in relationships based on constant arguments, provocations, mutually driving one another out of emotional balance, disregard, humiliation, psychological or emotional exhaustion, functioning within a pattern in which an increasingly large part of one’s own life energy is directed not towards building and maintaining life, but towards constantly reacting to other people’s behaviour; respectively participating in processes in which successive conflicts cease to serve the resolution of problems and begin to exist for their own sake, becoming an everyday way of communicating and influencing one another; respectively functioning within mechanisms in which prolonged contact with a person who constantly provokes, manipulates, insults, starts arguments or lives through conflict leads to gradually adopting that person’s way of reacting, thinking, conducting conversations and resolving disputes, until one’s own reactions begin increasingly to resemble the behaviours against which one previously tried to defend oneself; respectively participating in processes in which years of struggling with destructive behaviours, including within the family, lead to the loss of one’s own style of communication, patience, calmness, culture of expression and ability to conduct a substantive dialogue, replacing them with constant readiness to defend oneself, repel attacks, anticipate further conflicts and prepare for the next confrontation; respectively functioning within patterns in which it becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish defending one’s own boundaries from perpetuating a warlike way of life, when conflict becomes an everyday state and calmness, agreement or ordinary conversation begin to seem foreign or even unreal; respectively participating in mechanisms in which, wanting to win every successive argument, one increasingly sacrifices one’s own peace, mental health, relationships with others and one’s own character, failing to recognise that the greatest price of years of struggle may become the gradual loss of oneself; respectively functioning within processes in which years of living in an atmosphere of tension cause the nervous system to begin treating conflict as a normal state, leading to excessive vigilance, irritability, readiness to respond immediately, difficulty calming down and transferring the same mechanisms into relationships with people who pose no threat; respectively participating in processes in which a person gradually ceases fighting to solve the problem and begins fighting merely to defeat the other side, as a result of which the actual purpose of the relationship is replaced by the need to prove oneself right, retaliate or inflict equally intense pain; respectively functioning within mechanisms in which years of remaining in a destructive environment lead to becoming indifferent to one’s own suffering and the suffering of others, weakening the ability to cooperate, maintain mutual respect and goodwill, while conflict becomes a habit stronger than the ability to reach understanding; respectively experiencing the consequences of living within such a model as a natural consequence of the long-term perpetuation of conflict, leading to the gradual loss of inner peace, one’s own way of being and the ability to remain oneself even in the presence of people who live through constant struggle and conflict”.

The word “–not” added to some word while working with intentions means that it is worth expressing it also in its opposite, or even finding and saying aloud any synonyms that come to mind together with their opposites. For example — when saying: being poor, being sick, it is good to say it also with its opposite:–being poor, being sick, –not being poor, not being sick. This allows you to move a given pattern as broadly as possible, touching different aspects, including its opposite. It is also worth knowing that Souls often think or claim that they do not have such opposite patterns — for example, that they are not idolaters in a given case (in a given word). Another example: A woman’s Soul denies ever being a bad mother. Therefore, adding here the negating form — not being a bad mother — may allow her to understand the state she is in. Being a bad mother, –not being a bad mother–“—Oh, absolutely not, never in my life! These are certainly not my patterns. What I do is my private matter.” [—The Soul very often says or thinks this about itself.]
