Happiness – A Psychological Test
Authors: Małgorzata Krata and Sławomir Majda
The purpose of the following test is to bring to the surface the programs and beliefs that have shaped our present understanding of Happiness. It may help identify the core convictions that underlie our attitudes.
This is a typical psychological exercise. For each question, write down the very first answer that comes to mind after reading it.
Happiness is, to me, ________________________________, but Happiness certainly is not ________________________________.
I enjoy being happy while sober, although sometimes I achieve happiness only with the help of alcohol, a cigarette, or a little marijuana because ________________________________________________.
When I say the word Happiness, I mean ________________________. When I think I am giving Happiness, what I am really giving is ________________________. When I act with Happiness, I __________________________________________.
I have several negative associations with Happiness, including:
I know several figures who give me Love and Happiness, including ________________________________.
I myself bestow Happiness upon such figures/deities, Goa’ulds, saints, Divine Mothers, or leaders as:
The benefits I receive from being made happy by them are __________________________________________.
I cannot bestow Happiness upon such figures as ______________________ because ______________________________________. Likewise, they would never give Happiness to me, including (who?) ________________________________.
At some point I did not receive Happiness in my relationship with such figures as ________________________. The one I remember most, and still cannot forgive, is _______________________________________.
I am not very open to giving Happiness to everyone I meet because ________________________________________________.
If I gave Happiness to everyone, then __________________________________________ would happen.
I have various safeguards and strategies to prevent myself from acting too much from Happiness or receiving too much Happiness. They include __________________________________________. They were recommended to me by _______________________________________.
To me, Happiness is most closely associated with _______________________________________.
I do not have Happiness for myself because ________________________________________. I was told this by ____________________________. I also have no Love or Happiness for God because ________________________________________. I also lack expressions of Happiness toward other beings, especially _______________________________________.
Happiness is most strongly associated in my mind with such patterns or blockages as ________________________________________, and with such actions as _______________________________________.
I know several synonyms for Happiness, such as:
People or beings who possess Happiness are, in my opinion, also ________________________________________. When they express Happiness, they also give ________________________________________. When I give Happiness, I also give others ________________________________________.
Only __________________________ loves me unconditionally.
I love only __________________________ unconditionally.
__________________________ loves me conditionally, and the conditions attached to the Happiness I receive are:
I also set conditions for giving Happiness to others. These conditions are:
In order to receive Happiness from others, I must _______________________________________.
To receive Happiness from God, I must _______________________________________.
For me to give Happiness to others, they must _______________________________________.
God should _______________________________________.
I cannot be loved because _______________________________________.
I also know that God does not love me because _______________________________________.
Other people do not love me because _______________________________________.
Whenever Happiness appears in my life, _______________________________________ happens.
I lose because of it in the following way: _______________________________________.
However, I also gain the following benefits from the Happiness present in my life: _______________________________________.
I have a method that allows Happiness to remain with me permanently—or at least for a while. It is _______________________________________.
I also have a way of speaking to others about Happiness, and that way is _______________________________________.
I also know how to bring Happiness to others, and I do so through _______________________________________.
The greatest lack of Happiness in my body, relationships, or areas of life is found in _______________________________________.
More than anything else, I love _______________________________________.
I will never surrender my Happiness to (or for, or through) _______________________________________.
It is also very difficult for me to let go of one thing that I love with all my heart, namely _______________________________________.
More than the Happiness given by God, I prefer _______________________________________.
More than myself, I prefer _______________________________________.
Because of the Happiness I experienced, I once did several foolish things, such as _______________________________________.
I also got myself into serious trouble, including _______________________________________.
To this day, I still experience the negative consequences of my Happiness in relation to _______________________________________.
There is no room in my heart for pure Happiness because _______________________________________.
What fills my heart most is still _______________________________________.
Instead of Happiness, I would rather receive from God _______________________________________.
From other people, I would rather receive _______________________________________.
Instead of giving Happiness, I would rather give God _______________________________________.
To others, I would rather give _______________________________________.
Happiness is overrated because _______________________________________.
Yet I still wait for Happiness in relation to _______________________________________.
At the same time, I will never accept Happiness in relation to _______________________________________.

As is often revealed while performing bows, the cause of a toxic environment, belonging to an Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACA) family, or carrying the entanglement patterns described in the intentions above, is always that we ourselves once created similar problems for others.

While working with these intentions, it occurred to me that God does not ask. Then, in the next intention, I understood why. Perhaps God once did ask—but no one listened. So now He suggests, offers, informs, and gently guides instead. If God were to ask, those whom He did not ask might interpret it as showing special favor toward a particular person. Immediately others would want Him to ask them as well—or they would complain that He could not manage without them.
