Masculinity as a Congenital Defect, Part 2 – intentions of a man

Authors: Sławomir Majda, Małgorzata Krata. The identical recurring fragment, forming the core of the idea, is as follows:“experiencing relationships with women through tension between the desire for closeness and the fear that male energy itself will be perceived as threatening, too strong, too direct or inappropriate, and withdrawing from our own masculinity, sexuality, agency and right to take initiative in order not to hurt, frighten, embarrass or dominate anyone and not to repeat other men’s faults; respectively surrendering to God the belief that male desire is by nature guilty, dirty, dangerous or unworthy of love; respectively being a man who feels that his male body, psyche and way of reacting are not his home but a burden, prison, armour, mask or foreign construction imposed upon the Soul, as a result of which he experiences tension between who he is internally and what his sex, family, women, father, mother, culture, religion or society expect of him; respectively functioning within a pattern in which a man tries to diminish, hide, disarm or neutralise his masculinity in order to become safer for others, more acceptable, less visible, less suspicious, less burdensome or less similar to those men whom he himself fears or despises; respectively experiencing the male role as an obligation to carry burdens, earn money, protect, fight, decide, be strong, unshaken, sexually capable, a source of psychological support and at the same time someone who has no right to weakness, confusion, softness or his own suffering; respectively carrying within himself the sense that a man must always prove something: that he is not weak, that he is not dangerous, that he is not guilty, that he is not a failure, that he is not like his father, grandfather, drunkards, abusers or fallen men of the lineage; respectively surrendering to God the belief that masculinity is a task impossible to fulfil without losing oneself; respectively being a man who experiences himself as someone born on the wrong side of the conflict between the sexes, on the side that is viewed with suspicion, blamed, requiring control, correction, upbringing, weakening or psychological castration, feeling that women, mothers, partners, society or his own conscience expect from him not so much mature masculinity as masculinity that is harmless, disarmed, subordinated and constantly explaining its own existence; respectively functioning within a field in which a man may relinquish his own strength, boundaries, anger, sexuality, ambition, agency and voice in order not to be regarded as aggressive, selfish, domineering, primitive or similar to men who once harmed others; respectively recognising that internal rejection of masculinity may lead to withdrawal, helplessness, excessive apologising for oneself, sexual freezing, fear of women, dependence on the opinions of others, difficulty taking action or living below one’s own strength; respectively accepting that a man can be strong without violence, sexual without abuse, assertive without domination, present without being threatening, responsible without self-annihilation and masculine without shame; respectively surrendering to God all separation between masculinity, the body, sexuality, responsibility, strength, tenderness, safety, dignity and a man’s right to full existence, with the intention of restoring their mutual harmony, across all dimensions, times”.

The word “–not” added to some word while working with intentions means that it is worth expressing it also in its opposite, or even finding and saying aloud any synonyms that come to mind together with their opposites. For example — when saying: being poor, being sick, it is good to say it also with its opposite:–being poor, being sick, –not being poor, not being sick. This allows you to move a given pattern as broadly as possible, touching different aspects, including its opposite. It is also worth knowing that Souls often think or claim that they do not have such opposite patterns — for example, that they are not idolaters in a given case (in a given word). Another example: A woman’s Soul denies ever being a bad mother. Therefore, adding here the negating form — not being a bad mother — may allow her to understand the state she is in. Being a bad mother, –not being a bad mother–“—Oh, absolutely not, never in my life! These are certainly not my patterns. What I do is my private matter.” [—The Soul very often says or thinks this about itself.]
