Gnomes, or Working for “God Will Repay”
Motto
“When gods and gnomes appear, something important is about to happen.” — Terry Pratchett
Among Polish clergy it is common practice to shift payment onto God for any donations or offerings received from lay people. It is dismissed with an outstretched hand and two words: “God will repay.” This entire article is devoted to the consequences of invoking God to pay on someone’s behalf — for someone else’s feeding off their neighbors.
To explain the phenomenon of the GNOME, let us imagine typical conversations taking place before the face of God. In a country that is not wealthy, such as Poland, priests — especially those of higher rank — acquire expensive cars for the purpose of performing spiritual services.
The soul of a bishop appears before God and asks for a car for his earthly personality. We remember that persons of such rank pray about various matters for the common good, but also for themselves.
In response, God proposes a vehicle appropriate to the priest’s income — for example, an inexpensive and older car such as a Fiat Seicento or Daewoo Tico — reminding him that the income of every priest is supported by a large group of other people, usually not wealthy.
The bishop’s soul discreetly reminds God that he prefers Mercedes cars. Since all his colleagues already own such vehicles, it would be inappropriate for him to have a car of lower rank. Moreover, due to acquired digestive issues, he must eat quail eggs and fasting caviar — which, as God well knows, costs quite a lot.
A consensus is therefore reached. The personality of that soul — a bishop not engaged in any creative labor — receives money from crowds of parishioners, especially from not-wealthy elderly women, through divine support. Meanwhile, the bishop’s soul receives from that same God the position of a Gnome. It puts on a kind of robe and a cap, sometimes with a pom-pom. Sometimes the cap, in God’s understanding, is “the prettiest in the area.”
The first Gnomes I saw in June 2014 in the astral realm, together with another clairvoyant, Mr. Andrzej Pietrowski. We were driving through German fields filled with huge wind turbines generating electricity. I rubbed my eyes at the sight of figures resembling Santa Clauses turning the blades of each turbine. Wind turbines on farms are about 150 meters high including the blades. The Gnomes in the astral were tall enough to turn individually and freely the blades of 2.5-megawatt turbines.
You may say this is delusion. We thought so too. After several years of working with the subject, about seven clairvoyant individuals — sober, conscious, and praying to God for verification of their insights — now also see these Gnomes. We know that Gnomes are engaged, among other things, in plasma technology. They are always present with Magravs, Good Fellas, and wherever plasma appears by God’s will. The work of a soul employed as a Gnome is very heavy and continuous, and the soul cannot leave the position assigned by God on its own. Moreover, Gnomes may be dissatisfied with the environment in which they work and with their relations toward those for whom they act.
Selected discussion fragments
Łukasz: I corrected the prayer for money; I’m waiting for comments, suggestions what else to add.
Mirka: You have to be flexible and not throw everything into one sack.
Jolanta: “You got the money, and your soul got a Gnome job in the package.”
Zosia: If someone receives wealth without work, the soul compensates for it before God as a Gnome.
Małgorzata: If someone insists on living off others for free, God may assign the soul to public works.
Łukasz: It sounds absurd that souls pedal as Gnomes in devices. Is it confusion? Divine punishment?
Zosia: Rather compensation. Others work for the common good; one soul received much for nothing.
Małgorzata: God evaluates individually what to give and whether for free — and how much.
Selected comments
Anonymous: To avoid asking God for something for free, since the soul might receive a Gnome job as a consequence, it is good to call out to God: “God, what shall I offer You in return?”
s_majda: God gives everyone the best He has, but not everyone wants to give anything creative of themselves to their neighbor.
